Angell & Chambers Carpentry Ltd was founded in 2017, by Michael Chambers and Chris Angell. Alongside their team of experts, they are driven by a passion for exceptional carpentry services. The team delivers a comprehensive range of services to the UK’s Major House Builders and Commercial Developments in and around the South West.

Our unwavering commitment to quality is reflected in everything we do. We've developed a robust quality management system that includes a comprehensive "Minimum Standards Guide" for our team and a custom-built "Quality Control App". These tools empower our skilled operatives and minimise defects, ensuring a smooth and stress-free experience for our clients.

As a result of our application towards quality, we are proud recipients of the prestigious "Pride in the Job Award" in 2022 and 2023, and the "Seal of Excellence Award" in 2023. These awards stand as a testament to our commitment to delivering exceptional carpentry and complete client satisfaction.

Health and safety is a continually developing area, so it is a top priority for our team to maintain the highest standards.

We have teamed up with CQMS, an external health and safety consultancy company that is dedicated to ensuring that we are always compliant and adhering to the latest advice from the HSE.

Regular site visits and monthly interactions help to ensure that our team always adheres to policies.

Angell & Chambers has grown substantially since our inception in 2017. The main factor in continuing our growth was the ability to control our workmanship. 

To ensure quality, we have implemented a robust quality control process that is effectively executed by our team and easily comprehensible to external parties.

In partnership with a development company, we have developed our own 'Quality Control' app. This app allows us to monitor our workers at all crucial stages of a construction project, ensuring that photo evidence of critical components is captured. It also provides the latest relevant information to our workers, clients, and building inspectors at any time.

This seamless and transparent process has earned us prestigious awards, demonstrating the effectiveness of our approach.

Our "Quality Control" process has eliminated the majority of our aftercare needs, but some requirements will inevitably arise, and we at Angell & Chambers take great pride in efficiently addressing them.

When a defect is reported, our customer care team schedules the work directly with the customer or client through our portal. All communications and site visits are logged in the portal, and a closing signature is captured upon completion.

This process has proven to be efficient and also keeps our clients informed about the progress. We are fully updated with the latest defect log apps such as Clixifix, Miprojects, and Salesforce, which are used by some of our current clients.

At Angell & Chambers, we have a wealth of knowledge across the industry 

Our founders, Michael and Chris have years of experience in the construction industry and strive to provide excellent service across commercial, residential and social housing projects, achieving accreditations such as BM Trada Q-Mark Fire Door Installer, SMSTS and have become approved James Hardie Plank Installers.

Michael Chambers

Michael started his carpentry apprenticeship in 2011 with the desire to learn all aspects of his trade. He quickly progressed through his apprenticeship and established himself as a conscientious and reliable carpenter. 

Michael’s ambition was to become a large Carpentry Contractor who would demand high-quality standards from all carpenters at a high volume capacity.

Chris began his career in construction in 2002. Chris and Michael worked closely during Michael’s apprenticeship and decided to start a joint venture, in the form of Angell and Chambers Ltd in 2017.

Chris strives for excellence in all aspects of construction and carpentry and works meticulously with Michael to control the quality of work produced by their team of experienced carpenters.
